At the young age of 11 Tashi was introduced to meditation by his mother through the Transcendental Meditation School in the UK. Shortly thereafter he developed a close and strong relationship with renowned Tibetan Lamas who happened to be living in his hometown.

Tashi formally took the Refuge ceremony to become a Buddhist at the age of fourteen when the great master Kalu Rinpoche performed the Ceremony. Later that year, together with his close family Tashi met the head of the Kagyu Order, H.H. the 16th Gyalwa Karmapa, significantly inspiring them all. From then on he received teachings and empowerments attending many meditation courses and retreats.

Having completed his schooling aged 22, Tashi received the commitments of a novice monk from the Ven Kalu Rinpoche, A year later he became a fully precepted monk under H.E. Situ Rinpoche, which furthered Tashis‚17 years of training as a monk in Meditation and practices within the Kagyu tradition. At the height of his training, Tashi spent four years in a cloistered retreat, learning and practicing meditation, the Tantras and Yogas in depth. This was guided by the retreat master Lama Yeshi Losal and other masters such as Thrangu and Akong Rinpoche.

Since completion of the retreat Tashi has been authorized by the above masters as an instructor in the art of meditation and various Buddhist practices, enabling him to teach world-wide, both as an attendant to Akong Rinpoche and independently. Over the past decade Tashi has lead numerous courses and retreats in the UK, Ireland and Europe as well as Japan, Russia and America.

In a calm down-to-earth manner with an all important sense of humor, Tashi now extends his knowledge and experience in and beyond the Buddhist world, giving instruction not as a monk, but enjoying the embodiment of Buddhist philosophy and practices into everydayness.

Through the above experience and recognizing a need, Tashi developed yoga conducive to Meditation posture, not only having physical benefits to ease the body, but also metaphysical to relax the mind, this being particularly applicable to the stresses of modern city life. Tashi instructs yoga in health centers, gyms and on a one to one basis in London, embodying Prana yoga and meditation posture, which explores the relationship between mind and body, beneficial to those as a beginner or who wish to deepen their previous experience in yoga.
